Scenic trails and campsites in Big Bend National Park.

At the beginning of 2020 Michael and I loaded our packs and hit the road while our GPS directed us towards Big Bend National Park. We drove through the night with hopes of getting to the Chisos Basin visitor center right before they opened the doors, allowing us to be first in line for permits and campsite selections. We arrived early. And they opened their doors… eventually (we hadn’t realized they shifted their hours). This allowed us to get another hour or two of rest before we hit the trail, so it all worked out.
